Pulled Shiitake Mushrooms
A delicious and succulent culinary protein made from shiitake mushrooms. Use it in all the same ways as braised beef, pulled pork and in some new ways too!
FEEL GOOD Ingredients
Mushroom (55%) (naturally occurring Sulphites), Water, Coconut Oil, Soy Protein Isolate (non GMO), Canola Oil (non GMO), Tapioca Flour, Gluten Free Soy Sauce (Water, Soybean, Salt, Sugar, Corn Starch) (non GMO), Salt, Yeast Extract, White Pepper, Mushroom Powder, Black Pepper.
STORAGE
Store frozen below -18°C or refrigerated between 2–4°C.
3 years frozen. 7 days refrigerated. Consume within 3 days of opening.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
DEEP FRYER
Heat deep fryer to 180°C / 350°F.
Add Fable (whole ‘nuggets’ format only).
Cook for 1 min in deep fryer.
Add dry spice and/or sauce. Toss or stir through.
PAN or GRILL
Pre-heat grill or pan on very high. Once hot, add oil.
Add Fable (smashed, flat, shredded, sliced, chopped).
Cook for 9 mins, add oil as needed while cooking.
Add dry spice and toss through OR add sauce and cook further for 1 min.
OVEN
Preheat oven to 230°C / 450°F.
Add Fable (smashed, flat, shredded, sliced, chopped).
If adding sauce, cook for 9 mins OR If adding dry spice, cook for 6 mins.
For all methods, serve immediately or place in bain-marie for up to 4 hours. Alternatively, store chilled/frozen and re-heat to order.
